Situated at toot of Mt. Tahtalı ( Olympos ) 15 km. south of Kemer , the 3 harbours of Phaselis were the setting for its role as a historical commercial centre . The view of the Mt. Tahtalı ( Olympos ) from the south harbour is particularly spectacular . The many ruins - aqueducts , agoras , baths , a theatre , Hadrian's Gate , and an acropolis emphasize the city's historical importance . There is a small museum at the entrance.
The sheltered pebble beaches around the bays are delightful and the waters here are calm and very safe for children and young swimmers .
